Dog & Duck Pub temporarily closed due to lack of rent payment

Owners of the Dog & Duck Pub have been locked out of the space at 2400 Webberville Road. A letter dated November 2 is posted on the pub’s locked doors and states the business is locked out due to more than $30,000 owed in back rent. The letter indicates the pub could be reopened if rent due was paid. A regular customer informed me he ate lunch at the pub on November 1.

A longtime Capitol-area staple, Dog & Duck operated at 17th and Guadalupe streets from 1990 until Halloween of 2014. The owners relocated the business to burgeoning Webberville Road in 2015.

Nobody is answering the phone Dog & Duck and the pub’s social media has been silent of late, with no Tweets in two weeks and a stagnate Facebook page. We are trying to get official comment from the bar.
