Some of the best brisket in town (and, if you don’t believe me, ask the Valentina’s fans over at Franklin Barbecue) has a new address. Valentina’s Tex-Mex BBQ, which originally operated behind the Star Bar, has moved to 11500 Manchaca Road (near FM 1626) from its former location on Brodie Lane. The trailer from Miguel Vidal serves a South Texas hybridization of Tex-Mex food and barbecue, with options like brisket tacos and pulled chicken tortas. Valentina’s is open daily from 8 a.m. to sold out and will operate at the Manchaca Road location, while Vidal renovates a building on the property for a restaurant he hopes to open by the end of the year.

Though Valentina’s has moved, all hope is not lost on Brodie Lane. Valentina’s sister trailer, the Violet Taco, which serves Tex-Mex tacos and tortas (and a Tejano dog) has moved onto the property at 7612 Brodie Lane, where it is open daily from 7 a.m.to 8 p.m.
