Korean BBQ fast-casual concept Chi’Lantro is adding a charitable component to the grand opening of its South Shore location (1414 Shore District Drive Unit 102).
The restaurant well known for its kimchi fries is opening on Monday, but will use its sneak preview days this weekend to raise money for charity. Chi’Lantro will donate 100 percent of sales Friday and Saturday to four charities, including CareBOX Program, Austin Animal Center, Mobile Loaves & Fishes and Chi’Lantro’s honored charity, Children’s Tumor Foundation.
Chi’Lantro will be open Friday for lunch from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and dinner from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, January 7 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“Our success has led to so many incredible opportunities and giving back has always been one of the most important ones to us,” said Jae Kim, founder of Chi’Lantro. “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate our fifth location than turning a spotlight on four deserving causes that we’re honored to be donating our preview sales to.”
Following the grand opening Monday, the new Chi’Lantro will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
