Now open: Paul Martin’s Austin Grill

pmag-brick-chickenAfter delivering American diners a classic steakhouse (Fleming’s) and a taste of modern Asian fusion (P.F. Chang’s), Paul Fleming has turned his culinary sites on New American cuisine. He and partner Brian Bennett founded Paul Martin’s Austin Grill, a localized version of the concept that features locations in Dallas, Arizona and across the state of California. The restaurant, named after a local spin on Paul Martin’s American Grill, opened Monday at the Domain Northside (3120 Palmer Way).

The menu features a roster of New American bistro staples like fried calamari, grilled artichokes, shrimp linguine and brick chicken, and a mesquite grill turns out dishes like barbecue spare ribs and grilled salmon. The dessert selections like banana cream pie and devil’s food cake will also be familiar to diners. Paul Martin’s Austin Grill opens at 11 a.m. daily for lunch and dinner.
