Salt & Time celebrates third anniversary with three February events

East Austin butcher shop, salumeria and restaurant Salt & Time (1912 East Seventh St.) will celebrate its third anniversary with three Sunday events in February. On Valentine’s Day, Salt & Time hosts its second annual St. Valentine’s Burger Bonanza, serving a burger for one with onion rings, Frito pie and a fried duck egg and a burger for two, an extra-large burger patty topped with bone marrow aioli, fried avocado, pork cheek and queso fresco. Both burgers are served with French fries. Service starts at 5 p.m. Reservations can be made on or by calling the shop.

On the 21st they will host a three-hour pork workshop and pig roast with Foodways Texas. Check out Salt & Time’s website for details, or visit for pig roast tickets. The final event on February 28 will be a Live Oak Beer dinner benefiting Fresh Chefs Society. The five-course beer-paired dinner, which starts at 6 p.m., costs $100.
